Rose Mitchell
The
Co-Owner of The Ranchero, and mother of Chris Card. Ms.
Rose keeps busy by helping prepare for caterings by doing the
"behind the scenes" work and for your dining pleasures helps
prepare some of the specialty foods. |
Jackie Gilbert
Current
Manager of the Ranchero. You'll find Jackie working the
lunch hours behind the counter
answering the phones, preparing take-out orders, and much more
every day.
In addition to working behind the counter at the Ranch, she
makes Chocolate Covered Pecans and Banana Nut Bread during the
Holiday Season. |
Carolyn Sykes
Mrs.
Carolyn is always "on her toes" at the Ranchero. She serves as
a waitress during the daytime, and at night she as the Head
Cook. Perhaps Mrs. Carolyn is best known at the Ranch for her
wonderful Homemade Cheesecakes and Chocolate Chess Pie,
that she makes just for YOU!!!
Besides being on her toes with all the pies, Carolyn keeps
busy by cutting the, properly aged and seasoned fresh beef,
steaks for your orders. If you have a preference as to how
you would like your steak cut, please let your server know and
Mrs. Carolyn will do her best to prepare your steak to your
liking. |

Dorothy (Dot) Scott
| (picture to come) Current Daytime Head Cook at
the Ranchero. Dot is kept busy during the lunchtime hours preparing the many different entrees
for the plate lunches. Dot also makes the delicious bread
pudding dessert that is served with our plate lunches. Along with the plate
lunches, Dot also prepares our homemade spaghetti sauce . . .
that is Mrs. Rose's recipe!
During the Holiday season Dot will prepare some of the best
tasting Sweet Potato Casseroles, Dressing, and other wonderful
holiday dishes! |
Emmalene Williams
| (picture to come) Emmalene is one of our
popular daytime cooks that takes the freshly
delivered seafood, from our seafood supplier, and adds it to our
wonderfully delicious gumbo recipe. The gumbo recipe was passed down to her from the
founder of The Ranchero, Mr. Nelms Mitchell. The gumbo is still
prepared in the original way; including the fresh crab fingers.
Emmalene also prepares many of the vegetables dishes, along with
Dot, for our lunch specials. (Don't forget to try her Fried Okra and Steamed
Cabbage!!) |
Bertha Ivy
Bertha is shown with her delicious cornbread that she
prepares for the daily lunch specials, along with her
assistant Andre Pittman
Bertha contributes to The Ranchero by making the homemade
bread, homemade cornbread, and Homemade BBQ on Rolls (that is a
Grove
favorite!).

Andre Pittman
| Andre, shown above with Bertha, cooks on the
grill serving the lunch crowd along with preparing the dipping
sauces for your enjoyment. If you come in when Andre is in,
watch out for his contagious SMILE!! |
Jason Zuehlke
Current Local Web Site Consultant for the Ranch. Jason graduated from
Mississippi Delta Community College completing his Associates Degree
in Computer Networking, and received the honor of being Mr. MDCC
(2004-2005)
among many scholastic honors and achievements. Jason continues
to help Cook in the Pit when he is able to. . . sneak away from his
job in Indianola. |
